Erin Sousa-Stanley: Director/ Choreographer
Erin has been teaching the Arts for over 10 years and is delighted to be working with the Stonington students for her 9th year. Most recently, her highly acclaimed production of Into the Woods received 10 nominations in the statewide High School Musical Theater Awards and took home 3 overall awards. An accomplished performer, she has performed all over the United States, from themeparks, to regional theaters, to off-Broadway NYC.She was seen on NBC’s hit show “You’re the One That We Want” as she made her quest for Broadway. Erin received the 2007 CT Critic's Circle Award for her role of Victoria in Grand Night For
Singing at The Ivoryton Playhouse. She is an accomplished stage director and choreographer having worked for several theater groups in CT. Her directing and choreography credits include How to Succeed, Fiddler on the Roof, The King and I,Guys and Dolls, Damn Yankees, Anything Goes, Kiss Me Kate, Cinderella., Music Man, High School Musical and Smokey Joes Café. Erin attended The Boston Conservatory of Music and graduated from The National Theater Institute where she studied in Stratford England. Ms. Stanley currently teaches private voice as well as musical theater. While she is teaching and performing Erin is the proud wife and mother of her budding stars Lucas (11), Spencer (6) and Scarlett (1).

Chris Stanley (Music Director/Pit Orchestra Conductor)
Mr. Christian Stanley is in his 15th year of teaching, and his 11th year as Choral Director at Stonington High School. He received his undergraduate degree in Music Education at Hofstra University and completed his Masters degree in Music Education from the University of Connecticut . He is a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society.
He conducts five choirs at Stonington, teaches Guitar and Piano Class and has been musical director for all Stonington High musical productions since arriving in 1998. He received the Connecticut High School Musical Theater Award for Best Musical Director in 2008-09. He is actively involved in community and professional theater throughout Southeastern Connecticut and Rhode Island and has been nominated for a Eugene O’Neill Award for Leading Actor in a musical. He is also musical director for the professional vocal group, Cabaret-2-Go, which performs throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. Chris also serves as the Music Director at Christ Lutheran Church in Niantic, CT.
